Fulfilling the Legacy Reception

Thursday, October 18th
6pm to 9pm
Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Ballroom
590 West Peachtree St.

This event will embody this year’s Homecoming Theme by "Supporting Tomorrow's Leaders…Today!" The black student leaders on campus will be recognized for their hard work, dedication, and their commitment to continuing the legacy at Georgia Tech. You don’t want to miss Dr. Randal Pinkett, a successful, entrepreneur, engineer and author of the book Campus CEO, as he empowers the current generation on their responsibility to the fulfilling the legacy and reenergizes us on our commitment to maintaining that legacy.

Please visit our site weekly as we introduce you to the student leaders of today. Pictured below (left to right) are Georgia Tech Society of Black Engineers President – Sharece Hall; African American Student Union President – Joshua Wilkerson; Black Graduate Student Association President – Mela Johnson.

This event will also highlight the exciting milestones of GTBAO and Georgia Tech. As we approach our 45th year of students at Tech, we are now experiencing “2nd Generations” of students at Tech. And we can continue to be proud of the presence and prominence that our alumni represent around the world.

Finally, as we continue to strive to provide value to our alumni, we’ve added a new element for 2007. This reception will provide an opportunity for you to network with other alumni as well as our corporate sponsors. Many of our sponsors are actively seeking professional hires for their corporations. Diversity and seasoned talent are important to the enhancement and growth of their organizations. So, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to meet and spend time with corporations that are specifically looking for YOU!
